3X9 WEEK 9 05022023
The weather before tonight has been calm, cool and with low pressure. Overcast skies are welcome and rain is needed even after a few recent storms that have passed through. Reports from those fishing on the weekend, the bite is still on. We will see what they bring to the scales tonight.
This week’s Sponsor Shoutout goes towards Balzout electronics mounting hardware. With technology evolving at an exponential pace bringing graph screens into ever increasingly larger formats, it only took Balzout to recognize the need to produce a base platform to carry the weight of today’s technology into tomorrow. Balzout is a Missouri based company that can be purchased at Tightlines Premium Fishing Tackle. Call us today about updating the foundation of your electronics investment.

The Night of the Big Bite
Tonight, was one for the record book. Keith and Grayson Honeycutt found the honey hole as they came to the scales with a record sack in Tuesday Night 3×9 Series history! An unbelievable weight many thought to be unachievable in a three-fish limit tournament. 25.35 lbs. to include tonight’s Big Bass of 10.29 lbs. Tightlines Premium Fishing Tackle announced last week they would match the First Place Prize Money for a sack over twenty-five pounds. Well, it did not take long for someone to accept this challenge. The Honeycutt’s cut one out for the family scape book and cashed-in big time. What a memorable night for a father and son to share.
The show is not over until the last fat lady is weighed. Tonight’s scales were tested to the limit as not one, but three TEN POUNDERS were passed through the weighmaster’s hands as Billy Conway was seen struggling to keep up with tonight’s event. A 10.14 was brought in by Shari Woodard making this her Personal Best-PB, and last week’s winners, Shane, and Trent Stafford tried to repeat their performance with a 10.02 kicker placing them in Third Place for the evening with a total weight of 16.53 lbs.
Mr. Consistent, Chris Tatum and his son, Justin, managed to take Second Place with 16.84 lbs. This was the night of all nights to remember for a long time. Tonight’s results had me stumbling over how to put all this into words, so sticking to the facts as the anglers stuck their fish, history writes itself. Until next week, Tightlines!
